Just depends on how big they are. If they are say, 30ft high then just go to the top on your ladder and cut all the branches off. If the branch is too heavy then cut half a branch and work your way down. With all the branches removed go back to the top and cut the trunk in manageable lengths. Just make sure you do not cut the branch the ladder is leaning on. I have cut 2 40/50ft high tree's this way. Good luck

Well, yes it does depend on the size, but taking things down piecemeal by cutting off bits from a ladder is a very hard way and dangerous too.
If you are not familiar with using a chainsaw get someone who is. You do need to make sure there is room to fell the trees, but in principle it is easy. You cut a wedge from the side to which the tree is to fall - about 1/3 of the way through. then cut from the back towards that wedge. With a live tree the wood will act as a hinge and steer the tree in the righ direction. If there is any doubt about the way the tree will go a couple of ropes on it 10 feet up wwill allow you to pull it where it needs to go.
It will take minutes to do this with five trees and nce they are down curring up is quick too.

Zillow.com has land listing but not by elevation. I happened to see one yesterday in Enumclaw WA. 16.5 acres with 1/3 being cliff elevation went from 900 feet to 1500 feet nice view. You can build on it but it is next to houses so you could buy a house next to the acres and grow a tree farm or something on your land.

It is true that the Denver area has allowed a freer atmosphere with smoking in your backyard and being able to possess an ounce. Check out norml.org for more on CO restrictions. In CO you have to be a patient or a caregiver to grow or purchase from a dispensary. A different proposal is on the news here in Colorado as the Gov and law makers knee jerk and react as if they spilled their chilled martini in their lap. The link is to the CO forms and laws. Check out westword.com for the news on the Ganjadustry. Get copies of medical records before you move. To grow for a dispensary you will want to speak to a few dispensary owners and maybe legal counsel. The MMJ legal eagle in the Denver area is found at sensiblecolorado.org.
Hope that helps towards your Rocky Mountain High!

Small amounts are completely legal in Denver, no medical card required.

Not decriminalized, 100% legal in Denver.

It's still illegal under Federal Law but under Obama's newest proposal, recreational users won't be targeted.

Shut off water, drain all water pipes, put antifreeze in all traps including toilets.

Set mouse traps all over the place. I don't want any mice nesting in mattresses.

If heating with forced air, nothing to do. If steam or hydronic you need to put antifreeze made for boilers in the system. If I had a boiler I'd keep it on 55 degress in the house. Lowest setting on the thermostat. I also used to hook up a thermostat to my phone line. If the house got below 55 degress it would make the circuit shorting out the phone line. If I called the house it would give a busy signal, something is wrong.

Mainly your looking to minimize the potential for fire or water damage. Turn off water and drain lines. Consider filling all your traps (sink, toilet, tub) with an environmentally safe antifreeze. turn off any gas connections to the house.
